I love what I do — teaching people how to choose clothes that look and feel just right.
For more than ten years, I’ve worked in the world of clothing — learning the ins and outs of retail, hosting trunk shows for fashion designers, and most recently, working as a consultant to guide both men and women to discover their personal styles. My clients include high-powered executives, full time moms, and even television personalities, such as Dr. Laura Berman, host of In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman on The Oprah Winfrey Network.
I absolutely love what I do. I love seeing the expression on a client’s face, watching them experience a feeling you just can't explain — the feeling when an outfit looks and feels just right. That's the best! I implore clients to pay close attention to that feeling, because it's spot on. That's where your personal style comes from.
What prepared me for my career in styling? While earning a Masters degree in Education, I worked as an inner-city school teacher in Chicago. Teaching showed me how to build upon a student's strengths in order for him or her to reach their full academic potential. After 8 years of teaching, I decided to pursue my passion of clothing and style. Using the same approach I used with students, I show clients how to build upon their personal style knowledge so that they can reach their goals in terms of dressing.
Truth be told, this business is a blast!
In good company
Along the way I’ve forged strong relationships with the best independent boutiques and companies nationwide. They rank among the best because they incorporate who they are into what they do. They use their passion and expertise to help you express yourself, rather than just selling "stuff" to make money. Like me, these businesses are focused on the individual. In turn, these relationships have afforded me the inside knowledge and opportunities to explore and acquire the perfect pieces for clients — pieces that are unique, well made, and ultimately designed to complement you.
